Delhi Metro Train Stations
Children will get off the bus at the Qutb Minar metro station. To reach the zoo, they need to get off the metro at the Supreme Court metro station. Here is the metro map for your reference.
Read the key to the symbols and identify them on the map.
What do the different coloured lines represent?

The different coloured line represent different metro lines, each having distinct routes across the city. For example, Red line, Yellow line, Blue line, etc.
Mark the Qutb Minar station on the Yellow Line and the Supreme Court Station on the Blue Line.

Route 2: Take the Yellow line from Qutb Minar metro station to Hauz Khas. Change to the Magenta line at Hauz Khas metro station. Travel on the Magenta line and change again at Botanical Garden. From Botanical Garden metro station, take the blue line to reach Supreme Court metro station.

Solution:
From Qutb Minar to Rajiv Chowk, there are total 12 stations.
From Rajiv Chowk to Supreme Court, there are total 3 stations.
∴ Total stations between Qutb Minar _ to Supreme Court are 15 via. Rajiv Chowk.
∴ The route via Rajiv Chowk has the least number of stations.
(d) Which metro route(s), do you think, is/are the best way to reach the zoo from Qutb Minar?
Solution:
Best Route: Yellow line from Qutb Minar to Rajiv Chowk. Then Blue line to Supreme Court (which is the stop for zoo) and the fastest.
