1. It was a holiday. Jeet and Babli were playing. They played many games. Both of them skipped the rope. They played hide and seek.

छुट्टी का दिन था। जीत और बबली खेल रहे थे। उन्होंने कई खेल खेले। दोनों ने रस्सी कूद का खेल खेला। उन्होंने छूपन-छुपाई का खेल भी खेला।

Word-Meanings:

Skipping (स्किपिंग) – little jump over a rope, रस्सी पर छोटी-सी छलाँग।
Hide and seek (हाइड एंड सीक) – children’s game, बच्चों का खेल।
Rope (रोप) – a string we use for tying, एक डोरी, जिसका उपयोग हम बाँधने के लिए करते हैं, रस्सी।

2. Babli and Jeet decided to play ‘bat and ball’. Jeet got ready to throw the ball. Jeet threw the ball. Babli hit the ball.

बबली और जीत ने ‘बल्ला और गेंद’ का खेल खेलने का फ़ैसला किया। जीत गेंद फेंकने के लिए तैयार हो गया। जीत ने गेंद फेंकी और बबली ने गेंद को मारा।

3. The ball went into Mohit’s garden. But his house was locked. They could not find the ball. So the game stopped.

गेंद मोहित के बगीचे में चली गई, लेकिन उसके घर पर ताला लगा हुआ था। उन्हें गेंद नहीं मिली, इसलिए खेल रुक गया।

4. Babli knew how to make a ball. They got a few rags, paper and wool. Babli also brought a piece of string. She rolled rags, paper and wool to make a ball. Then she tied the ball with a string. They liked the new ball. The game started again.
