1. One day Anju and Farida went to the market. Anju bought a bag and Farida bought a water bottle. Later, they went to a shop and bought a packet of groundnuts and a bottle of juice.

अनुवादः एक दिन अंजू और फरीदा बाज़ार घूमने जाते हैं। अंजू वहाँ से एक बैग और फरीदा पानी की बोतल खरीदती है। उसके बाद वह दोनों एक दुकान पर जाकर एक पैकट मूँगफली और एक पैकट जूस खरीदती हैं।

2. They felt tired. They sat on a bench under a tree to rest. There was a monkey on the branch of the tree above them.

अनुवादः वे थककर एक पेड़ के नीचे आराम करने बैठ जाती हैं। एक बंदर उसी पेड़ की एक टहनी पर बैठा होता है।

3. Farida and Anju did not see the monkey, They took out their food from the bag and began to eat. The monkey had a banana. He peeled the banana and ate it. Farida and Anju took out the groundnuts and started eating. They threw the packet down. Then they drank the juice and threw down the bottle.

अनुवादः फरीदा और अंजू उस बंदर को नहीं देख पाती हैं। वह अपने बैग से खाने का सामान निकालकर खाने लगती हैं। उधर बंदर के पास एक केला होता है। वह उसको छीलकर खाने लगता है। अंजू और फरीदा मूँगफली खाकर और जूस पीकर उनके पैकट को वहीं ज़मीन पर फैंक देती हैं।

4. Just then, the monkey climbed down the tree with the banana peel. There was a dustbin nearby. The monkey threw the banana peel into the dustbin.

अनुवाद: तभी बंदर पेड़ से नीचे उतरता है और अपने खाए हुए केले का छिलका पास रखे कूड़ेदान में डाल देता है।
